Thank you. Mental blocks are hard, I guess most people work differently but for me I normally go to galleries or try and go for a walk in a forest (that's because I'm obseesed with trees).

Thank you so much! I'm not really sure where my ideas come from. Sometimes things can come from seeing something that has no relation to what I'm doing, like a random colour scheme on a building and then that will start the idea snowball rolling in my head which just picks up more things as it rolls down. Hard to explain I'm afraid...

Ah, tis a fine game. I grew up on Lucas Arts adventure games, the first two Monkey Island games and Day of the Tentacle are other massive favourites. But I think with Grim Fandango, it's almost faultless. The story, the script, as you said the soundtrack, the actors, perfect.

No, not really a big Tool fan. Mainly listen to stuff on Type Records, Touch Records and Miasmah.

That's a really good idea. When I have some spare time I'll try and draw Batman. Thanks!
~blacklotus:iconblacklotus: Apr 10, 2008, 6:43:27 AM
It would be awesome if you took a jab at trying to draw Batman in a Gotham Landscape. Or any main stream super hero for that matter. I would really LOVE to see what would result of that work.

Thank you so much! I have no idea what you would call my style, it's very illustrative and highly textured. To be honest I get most of my inspiration from walking around London, articles I read in the paper, and looking at trees. Can't explain my fascination with strange looking trees, am in the middle of drawing a series of illustrations just on weird looking trees.

I'd just like to say that you're absolutely fantastic and I hope you get the recognition you deserve. What would you name your style as and who were your inspirations? Also, when did you first get in to art?
