This is one of a series of 16 illustrations I created in response to an eight hour gig at Cafe Oto in London by eight different musicians playing two half an hour sets. It was an entirely self intiated project focusing on texture and emotion created by each of the musicians. The music played was a combination of experimental, drone and noise.

great project, good use of minimalism and textures, btw i like drone music and it seems i like drone pictures too ;)

This piece was made up of a pen and ink drawing in the centre, hand painted background and lots of layers of handmade texture which were scanned in and added in Photoshop.
